February 4, 2007 - Superbowl XLI

Our friend Nick was in Binion's monthly Tournament of Champions today. Nick was the first poker tournament champion of 2007- after winning the 2am tournament held at Binion's on New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.
We went over to the casino to see him play. He unfortunately didn't get such great cards, but he did pretty well anyway.

I enjoyed yogurt before going to the casino, and the worst Starbucks coffee with a muffin when we got downtown. Seriously, the Starbucks tasted like soap to me, but Brian said it just had way too much cinnamon in it. I almost forgot to take a picture of the muffin, can you tell?

Superbowl Sunday is a sort of anniversary for Brian and I. It's right around the time of our anniversary, and Superbowl 34 was probably the first time we met each other, or maybe the second time we saw each other. When we lived in New York, we would do small parties with tons of food, but this year, we just watched it at home.

We got some wings- hot and Parmesan garlic. I ate 2 Parmesan and 1 hot. Too hot for me.

And, we made nachos because they are my favorite.
Also, Baked Ruffles Sour Cream and Cheddar Chips.
Oh! This is Ben & Jerry's Dublin Mudslide Ice Cream. A-mazing.
I was rooting for the Bears, although my three favorite teams are the Bills, the Chargers, and now, the Saints. Because of my boyfriend, Drew Brees.

I thought Prince put on a wonderful show, in the rain! I loved that he covered Hendrix and the Foo Fighters, and even sang "Proud Mary." (You can find it on youtube if you want.) And, my favorite commercial was the Kevin Federline one. I love it when celebrities can laugh at themselves. (Or, maybe he just really, really needed the money.)
