Cereal for breakfast. (If it ain't broke...)
For lunch, I went to a meeting. They served sandwiches - a mix of ham, roast beef, turkey and cheese. I picked off the ham and roast beef. I also ate some chips and salad with ranch.
They also served this adorable cake. I had one of the squares on the bottom: the one with part of the "F" in "Families."
And, my sweet husband took me out to dinner to Todai, a sushi buffet restaurant in the Aladdin/Planet Hollywood Casino's Desert Passage shopping area, to celebrate my promotion and as an early V-day treat. I don't know where to begin. I was in food heaven. Incredible sushi AND king crab legs. 'Nuff said.
And for dessert, mini pastries. Green tea cheesecake, and green tea cake with red bean icing, and a mocha square. The green tea items were wonderful, but the mocha was just so-so. I skipped it.
Speaking of green tea, we overheard a gentleman at a nearby table exclaim to his friend after their drinks were served, "Well, look at that, green tea does exist!" Did he think it was a myth?
Incidentally, the Aladdin is my second favorite casino in Vegas... a very close second to the Venetian. I get such a kick out of the Dessert Passage.
