January 5, 2007 - TGIF

Breakfast: It's Friday, and Brian has to drive to L.A. to tape episodes of The Ultimate Poker Challenge. He drops me off at Starbucks so I can have a snack before work. I enjoy a sugar free Cinnamon Dolce Latte with my reduced-fat banana chocolate chip coffee cake. I'm reading an old issue of Rachael Ray Magazine, October 2006. Look at that cute dog she's holding on the cover!

Mid-morning, I enjoy snacking on this Chai Latte smoothie. For some reason, I also want a Diet Coke... I'm really tired. The Coke in our vending machine is still the Christmas logo- with the polar bears. Wouldn't it be great if Coke did some kind of global warming awareness campaign since they're so big on polar bears?
None of this is food, right?

Lunchtime!
Today, I'm going to have this Kashi frozen thing- sweet and sour chicken. I bought it cause it looked like it had some healthy vegetables in it. After looking at my last few pictures, I realized I could use some more vegetables!

Here is the picture on the box: (anything in the work fridge without a name on it is considered fair game.)

And here is what it looked like after I heated it up:
Ummm... quite a bit of difference, I would say. It tasted okay. It was expensive as far as frozen dinners go. But, I guess it was good for me!

Dinner:
Nick and I go to Happy Hour at the Main Street Station casino downtown. Nick is a junior high math teacher and girl's basketball coach, and his teacher friends go there every Friday for Happy Hour. There's this brewery there that has great specials and really good food: the Triple 7. I had a California Roll and a handful of these barbecue fries that came with a southwest ranch type of dip.
Friends in attendance: Nick, Hannah, Nicole, Jenn, Jason, and Peter who exclaimed, "Smile Sushi!" when I took this picture.

Late night snack:

I baked these mini Chocolate Lava cakes from a mix on Thursday night, but didn't enjoy one til the next day. Pretty good for Duncan Hines.

Right before I got to your lunch pic I thought to myself, "Wow, if I had a similar blog I would have to eat a lot better because I'd be embarassed about the 5 Mon Cheri chocolates for lunch yesterday." It'll be funny if looking at your food daily changes your eating habits and makes you eat more veggies.
